Today marks the arrival of the creepy caring Koro-sensei in the premiere of "Assassination Classroom." Episode one entitled "Assassination Time," was streamed to North America via Funimation. Synopsis:

The episode begins with Class 3-E waiting in darkness as something approaches. The teacher, Koro-Sensei arrives and tells the class leader to lead command. The students stand up and begin shooting at Koro-Sensei, who manages to dodge all the bullets while taking roll call. He informs the students that just relying on numbers or finger movements is not enough. Especially because his max speed is Mach 20.

One of the students suggests that Koro-Sensei was lying and just gritting his teeth through the BBs. But he demonstrates that this is not the case. He also tells them he hopes they can destroy him before graduation.

While Koro-Sensei leads the Japanese language lesson, Nagisa thinks back on how their lives changed since the beginning of their third year. It all started with a huge chunk of the moon suddenly exploding, leaving a permanent crescent moon. Koro-sensei then revealed that he's the one who blasted the moon. Karasuma, a representative from the Department of Defense, informs the kids that they need to kill him, otherwise he will destroy the earth.

Koro-sensei made an agreement not to destroy the earth if they let him teach Class 3-E. He won't reveal why he settles for this. The government however let it happen on the off chance that one of them manages to kill him. Nakamura tries at that moment and she fails and is punished by being sent to the back of the class. The student who kills him will earn 10 billion yen. They only have the school year.

During lunch, the students notice that Koro-sensei is mysteriously actually a good teacher. But they're Class E, the students who can't keep up at the famous prep school. Nagisa laments that no one cares about him, and that he's not powerful. But that's why the other students want to use him for the after-lunchtime assassination plot.

Nagisa tries to use a suicide bomber attack. It fails though, and Kuro-sensei instead uses his skin-shedding ability to save Nagisa and himself. He's angry at the students for the attempt because no one looked out for Nagisa's safety - not even him. Nagisa is happy that at least someone cares about him.

In a flashback, it appears that someone encouraged Koro-sensei to help the kids.
