Beck Still All Praises For Kanye West Despite Show Stealing Moment; Alternative Rocker Wins Album Of The Year For ‘Morning Phase’ At Grammys

Kanye West was one of the most talked celebrity during the 2015 Grammys and one instance was because of his almost show stealing moment when Beck was awarded with the Album Of The Year award for his "Morning Phase" record.

Seen on the 2009 VMA's when West cut Taylor Swift from her speech after receiving the trophy, the rapper went up the stage when Beck was called in to receive the award but didn't continue to interrupt and sat down instead.

Beck told US Weekly at the after party what he thought of the moment the rapper went on stage.

"I was just so excited he was coming up," he said. "[West] deserves to be onstage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?"

As reported by Rolling Stone, despite almost being humiliated, Beck was still all praises for Kanye West as he is happy and fulfilled he got the Grammy for Album Of The Year for his work "Morning Phase" anyway.

West earlier claimed that he would stand up on the stage and interrupt after Beyonce lost to Beck's.

"I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyonce! . . . You can't please everybody, man. I still love [West] and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does," he claimed.

West, meanwhile, reportedly continues to sour grape on the situation claiming only Beyonce's album must be considered an art.

"At this point, we tired of it!" he said. "Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day and listen to that Beyoncé album, and they feel like it takes them to another place. Then they do this whole promotional event, and they'll run the music over somebody's speech, an artist, because they want commercial advertising. No, we not playing with them no more."

For now, enjoy this classic song from Beck.
