Foo Fighters Tour 2015: Foo Fighters Add North American Tour Dates; Foo Fighters Bassist Nate Mendel Announces Solo Tour

Foo Fighters Tour 2015: The Foo Fighters announced new dates on their the North America tour that supports their eighth studio album, "Sonic Highways," which chronicled the Dave Grohl's tour of American recording studios. This time around the Foo Fighters will include stadium concerts, allowing the Foo Fighters' to play the biggest performances of their 20-year career.

The Foo Fighters added a July 16 show at New York's Citi Field, where the New York Mets play. This will be the Foo Fighters biggest New York area headlining show to date. This will be the band's first show at Citi Field.

Foo Fighters Bassist Nate Mendel announced his solo tour. He will be billed as "Lieutenant."

Foo Fighters are Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl's side project he developed while writing songs on the road. Now, the Foo gets its own version of itself, with bassist 

Nate Mendel is touring behind his new album "If I Kill This Thing We're All Going to Eat for a Week," which it is due to be released on March 10 on Dine Alone Records. 

Foo Fighters North American Tour 2015 will include Fenway Park doubleheader. The Foo Fighters Wrigley Field Show sold out in one day.

The Foo Fighters also confirmed their 20th anniversary blowout at Washington, D.C.'s RFK Stadium. This is the Foo Fighters biggest North American tour to date.

The Foo Fighters are following up their most ambitious album, "Sonic Highways," which hit the top 3 of charts worldwide.

Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear announced a full North American stadium/arena/amphitheater assault for summer/fall 2015 which will see the band hitting New York's Citi Field and a debut double header at Boston's Fenway Park.

The Foo Fighters also announced that their supporting act will be Royal Blood, except for their August 27 show in Indianapolis and their first Fenway show on July 18, which will feature a special appearance from hometown heroes and post-punk pioneers Mission of Burma.
