Shania Twain Tour 2015: Shania Twain Calls Women The Biggest ‘Risk-Takers’ in Music; Shania Twain Announces Farewell Tour

Shania Twain Tour 2015: Shania Twain is promoting her farewell tour 2015 but has been standing up for the female artists  who will follow, in a recent Q&A session with Taste of Country.

Twain says "Balance is important," in today's radio. "Whenever it goes too far in one direction, it just gets boring. It's very dominated by men right now ... We don't have enough women. Maybe it's more romance that country is missing right now. Women have a lot to say but it takes a lot of courage to say it. Women are the greater risk-takers. When they step out of what's expected in this genre, they are really stepping in the line of fire."

Twain's Rock This Country tour kicks off on June 5 in Seattle, two months before iconic country star turns 50 on August 28.

"I feel fine," Twain told Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex about her big birthday. "I'm happy. Well I'm going on tour. I'm going to be on tour when I turn 50, so I feel like I'm going out of my 40s with a bang and celebrating throughout the summer with the tour."

"I think it's just a very invigorating way to go into my 50s and it's a great way to stay fit 'cause I really work my butt off out there," Twain added. "It's my workout and I couldn't think of a more fun way to workout as a 50-year-old."

Shania Twain is getting ready for her farewell tour. The "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" singer announced that her 2015 tour will be her last. Twain announced her farewell tour on Good Morning America on March 4, 2015. This frees Shania Twain to say what she really means.

Shania Twain recently gave an interview to the Canadian magazine Macleans. The singer said country music is missing the female touch.

"We don't have enough women," she said. "Maybe it's more romance that country is missing right now. Women have a lot to say, but it takes a lot of courage to say it. Women are the greater risk-takers. When they step out of what's expected in this genre, they are really stepping in the line of fire."

Shania sold more than 75 million records worldwide and won five Grammys. She is nine-time Billboard Music Award winner. Twain will kick off her "Rock This Country" tour in Seattle on June 5, 2015. The tour hits 48 cities in the U.S. and Twain's home country Canada.
