The status of the alleged upcoming YG Entertainment girl group is still up in the air, but one of its potential members is already making a name for herself before her official debut.

In January, YG trainee Kim Jisoo became the envy of many Lee Minho fans when she collaborated with the actor for a Samsonite RED commercial and photoshoot. And now, Kim is following that up with another endorsement deal for Nikon's 1 J5 camera.

"She looks like YG's next [Sandara Park]," commented allkpop reader Hinkatana.

The 20-year-old has already become a recognizable idol to YG Entertainment fans, given her cameo appearances in Hi Suhyun's "I'm Different" music video and Epik High's video for "Spoiler" and "Happen Ending."

Sadly, the exact date of her alleged debut with the upcoming girl group remains to be seen.

"YG's new girl group is currently recording their debut song and album," an insider told Star News last October. "They've been preparing for their debut for quite a while, and they're in the last stages."

However, as noted by analyst Jeong You Suk, the debut of this group has been delayed for some time, and should they debut this year, it would occur after CL's American debut.

"CL, a member of YG's girl group 2NE1, is going to release an album in the US in the first half of this year, and 2NE1 will make a comeback in the second half," said Suk according to YG-Life.

"There is also a possibility that YG's new girl group might emerge late this year, after their debut has been delayed for a while."

YG fans have been attempting to guess which YG trainees will make up this girl group, and recently, a new trainee has allegedly joined the names already circulating on the web.

According to Jisoofc on Tumblr, Yoon Semi is a vocalist who previously worked with trainees featured in the "Future 2NE1" video, but has since been transferred to this upcoming girl group.
