Mean VS Meaning Gets Confusing For Six-Year-Old [VIDEO]

When words are too similar to one another, there is bound to be a misunderstanding of some sort.

For six-year-old George, the difference between mean and meaning was too hurtful to stick around and listen to, despite his sister’s attempts to explain.

“George was meaning to say ‘hello’ but, here he is,” says Ava, George’s 8-year-old sister, in the video.

George, clearly upset, responds with, “I’m not mean,” before adorably turning his back away from his siblings.

Hurt from the idea that his sister would say that he’s “mean,” little George is seen walking away from his brother and sister towards the end of the video. Hopefully, he was able to know the difference between the two words after the clip was filmed.

The video, which was uploaded only one day ago has already garnered over 740,000 views and more than 4,000 likes and counting. Despite what some might think, there’s more to the story when it comes to George’s misunderstanding.

“George was born with a cleft lip and palate and also totally deaf in his left ear. He’s had glue ear in his right and only been able to hear well in it for about a year and a half,” wrote YouTube user, g33kphr33k, who uploaded the video, in the description.

“This means he has delayed speech and language as he finds it hard to hear parts of some words, hence the misunderstanding. He’s good kid, a totally trooper and amazingly funny. He is certainly not mean!”
