The drone can be prone to be put in dangerous circumstances.

One man went to great lengths to save his drone from plummeting into the water in Western Australia, and fortunately, the epic moment was captured on camera for all to see.

In the video that is now going viral, Australian photographer Ryan Chatfield is seen sprinting towards his drone, which is slowly descending into the sea as it loses battery.

“Gotta start developing water-proof drones,” commented YouTube user Juan Miguel Aranda Cobos.

Another social media user Aaron Wiedenfeld warned, “Watch your battery levels! Especially over water!”

Chatfield had been using his drone to film a sunset on the beach when his drone started to lose power, according to TIME.

Although there has clearly been some editing done in the video, the drone save is undeniably quite impressive.

“This is the best thing I have ever seen, the timing couldn’t of (sic) been any better. One of those viral Facebook pages will pick this up in no time,” wrote YouTube user kerolah.

Indeed it has, as the video has garnered over 860,000 views and nearly 6,000 likes just two days after being uploaded.
