EXO's Lay Reportedly Rushed To The Hospital In China For Neck And Back Injury

Reports from Chinese website Weibo indicate that EXO's Lay was rushed to the hospital after sustaining a neck and back injury. The injury occurred during filming for "Go Fighting," a TV show in Shanghai, China on May 9.

According to Koreaboo, Lay had initially received some treatment while on set. After it appeared that Lay could not move freely due to injury, celebrities and fans in attendance urged him to go to the hospital.

Needless to say, Lay's injury while on set are leading fans on Facebook to look at EXO as a cursed K-pop group:

"It's apparently not healthy to be in EXO. So many members are getting sick or injured," said Allysia Juarez.

Other fans responded to the incident with assurance that Lay would recover quickly.

"People are overreacting. It was just a small pain in his neck. He went to the hospital and he'll be fine. Nothing is happening. Lay is staying and it isn't a serious injury like Tao's," explained Makiya Jackson.

Speaking of Tao, the Chinese native recently left to California in order to seek more specialized treatment for his very severe ankle injury. Unfortunately, it looks as if Tao's recovery will take even more time, causing fans to wonder if he is going to leave EXO permanently.

SM Entertainment has yet to confirm Tao's absence as permanent. The label did issue a statement that it was working closely with Tao's father to arrive to an agreement. This statement was in response to an open letter on Weibo by Tao's father that he was extremely worried about his son and wanted him to return to China to seek thorough treatment for his injury.

Although Tao's injury is still being resolved, hopefully he and Lay will have a speedy recovery and return to EXO. It is certain that many fans are patiently awaiting for the group to perform as 10 members once again.
