Orangutan Bottle-Feeds Tiger Cubs In ‘Viral Worthy’ [VIDEO]

Orangutans and tigers can totally be friends.

A recently uploaded YouTube video proves that this very statement is true as an orangutan is shown bottle-feeding three tiger cubs and holding and playing with them.

The video, which was uploaded on the YouTube channel AnimalsMedia.com, has grasped the hearts of social media users all around.

“Friends come in all shapes and sizes!,” commented YouTube user elhoucine loft.

Another social media user Kesika wrote, “Viral worthy.”

The orangutan reportedly plays with the three tigers every day. A friendship between tigers and orangutans isn’t completely unfamiliar.

Back in 2007, CBS News had reported a story regarding a couple of newborn Sumatran tigers who befriended a set of young orangutans at an Indonesian zoo. The four reportedly lived side-by-side for a month and showed no signs of hostility towards one another.

Sadly, the orangutans and the tiger cubs had to be separated in the end, which may happen to the babysitter orangutan and the cubs in this very video.

“When the time comes, they will have to be separated,” explained veterinarian Retno Sudarwati regarding the tiger cubs and baby orangutans that had befriended one another.

“It’s sad, but we can’t change their natural behavior. Tigers start eating meat when they are three months old.”
