Get That K-Pop Look: Victoria's Chic Summery Ensemble

Welcome to this week's Get That K-pop Look, where we showcase an original K-Pop outfit and give you tips on putting together your own similarly styled, affordable outfit.

Victoria is our style muse this week, thanks to a simple and chic look she posted on Instagram recently. The bright colors and subtle embellishments keep this outfit young and fresh, but in no way childish. It'd be a perfect look for a Sunday brunch with the new boyfriend's parents or a great way to bring some much-needed vibrancy to a dull workplace. Here's how you can put together yours:

Paloma Piko Loose Sleeve Top, $20 from Piko Shirts

This is a shirt that wins with its simplicity and versatility. At first glance, it's just a shirt, but the style, color, and sleeves make this flattering on a variety of shapes and skin tones. It can be thrown on with a pair of jeans or, as Victoria shows, tucked into a fabulous pair of palazzos. This is the shirt that you can always build an outfit around, even when you think you've got nothing to wear.

Full Tilt 5 Flower Statement Necklace, $9.99 from Tillys

If you can't find a shirt with embellishment like Victoria's, try a good flower statement necklace like this one from Tillys. It's striking, but not outlandish enough to be the only part of the outfit that catches the eye. The bonus to not being part of the shirt? You can wear it anytime you'd like.

Ursa Major League Necklace in Gold, $13.99 from ModCloth

The dainty gold necklace paired with her more bedazzled neckline has been shown a lot lately, but it's not necessarily new. Doubling (or tripling, or quadrupling) necklaces is a great look. Make a small necklace like this one your main piece (it's petite and goes with everything), and then swap out necklaces like the flower statement one depending on the outfit.

Pink Chiffon Elegant Ladies Leisure Palazzo Pants, $27.36 from PinkQueen

If you haven't already jumped on the palazzo pant bandwagon, now's the time. These pants have the elegant air of a twirly maxi skirt with the comfort of a pair of pants. Plus, since they're usually the focal point of the outfit, you don't have to waste time thinking about what you're putting on top - anything works.

Frolicking in the Foliage Wedge, $44.99 from ModCloth

It'd be easy to go with a summery sandal or simple black pump with these pants, which is why Victoria's choice of a menswear-inspired lace up shoe that much better. They're classic, comfy, and the final step in letting everyone know you're a boss that means (fashionable) business in this ensemble.
