Oscars 2013: Adele Performs Best Original Song Nominee 'Skyfall' Live Academy Awards

Adele performed the Academy Award nominated song 'Skyfall' in front of glittering backdrop in sparkling dress during the 2013 Academy Award Ceremony.

Earlier Adele informed reporters on the Oscars Red Carpet that she was wearing a beaded black tulle Jenny Packham gown with sheer sleves.

During her performance, Adele was backed by the Academy Awards’ live orchestra.

Twitter users commented on her performance, “Adele is flawless .. Authentic talent shines,” and, “Adele is amazing.”

Prior to Adele’s stirring rendition of the ‘Skyfall’ theme, Anne Hathaway had just been awarded the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for Les Miserables.

Daniel Craig in an interview with Yahoo Movies claimed the song moved him to tears.

"I cried," said Craig. "From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I'd wanted front the beginning."

Jennifer Lawrence, the favorite to win the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence appeared in a voluminous white Dior gown.
