JYJ President Inauguration Crisis Gains Attention, 'Bitter Reality'

On February 25, JYJ was invited to perform at the President Inauguration ceremony in front of 30,000 people.

This inauguration was very special in that it was the first inauguration of a female president in Korea. However, during this historic moment, another crisis began for JYJ and their fans.

The group sang many songs and performed their hardest as it was for an important event.

However, JYJ fans were shocked to hear what the announcers for ChannelA had to say about the group.

During the live broadcast of the event, the anchors commented that they were a group that 'fell out of TVXQ' and that they knew who TVXQ was but did not know who JYJ was. They also stated that they felt that their performance was mediocre and it reminded them of people singing karaoke.

Eventually, the next day, the anchors stated that they did not say those things on purpose and that they formally apologized to the group for their rash behavior.

Many also agreed that it was true that it could not have been done on purpose either.

It was simply because the anchors were not informed of any news about the group and they were just showing their initial first thoughts about the group.

This showed that most people who do not know the group on a fan level may only think of them as a group that 'fell out' of TVXQ.

It could be that because after JYJ was formed, they did not appear much on mainstream TV. Due to their case from 2009 with SM Entertainment, they were not able to appear on live broadcasts for sometime.

Although the group all held individual activities with dramas and musicals, only those that watched those would know who they were. The three together as a group is still not yet familiar to the general public.

Finally in 2012, JYJ and SM Entertainment ended their case and were free to appear on TV.

However, many fans were sad that they still have not appeared much on broadcasts yet.

An official commented, "They are not appearing on TV because of legal issues, but rather that even after their case ended, their schedules did not change much."

It has been revealed that although they are free to appear on TV and broadcasts, it is not yet known when they will officially begin to appear on these shows.

On the other hand, JYJ will be holding a Tokyo Dome concert this April.
