Malia Obama seemed to be set for Hollywood as she wants to be a filmmaker, according to First Lady Michelle Obama herself. This summer, the first daughter reportedly snapped up a role on the set of 'Girls' as an intern.

As reported by Gawker, Malia Obama will be an intern for the show this summer. 

In a report on Page Six, Malia Obama was pictured in Brooklyn, New York on the set of the HBO series "Girls" on Thursday. She was sipping a cup of blue juice when she was pictured. 

She reportedly spent three hours in the area though the report did not mention if the first daughter was there for a cameo or a behind-the-scenes role.

Malia Obama's connection to the show "Girls" may reportedly not be just about being an intern. One of the stars of the show Lena Dunham reportedly adores the first daughter as well. Last year, the actress even sent a shout out for her birthday.

"Happy Birthday Malia Obama!" it said. "Let's all hope we're as elegant as you when we grow up."

This is the second time that the first daughter became an intern for a hit TV series.

According to a report on MTV, she has also volunteered for the CBS show "Extant" last summer.

TMZ reported back then that Malia is under the role of a production assistant. The first daughter reportedly did various runs on set including getting coffee and drinks for the "Extant" team.

She was able to keep her role from the public eye until someone on set spilled. The mayor of Los Angeles then reportedly was not aware that the first daughter was in the city for the summer for the internship as reported by the New York Daily News.

In an interview with People back in 2012, First Lady Michelle Obama shared that Malia Obama has always been interested in doing films.

"Malia has expressed some interest in filmmaking," the First Lady started.

"Just like her father, she is an avid reader, and she enjoys movies," she added.

"But she's a freshman, so she also knows she has years in college to explore her interest," the First Lady added about daughter Malia Obama, who is reportedly an intern on "Girls" now.
