Princess Charlotte christening created a frenzy last weekend. The official photos of the occasion that dropped online on Thursday seemed to be doing just the same.

The pictures by Peruvian photographer Mario Testino were first posted on the Kensington Palace account on Twitter, according to ABC Australia. The shots were taken after Princess Charlotte's baptism last Sunday.

Among the pictures shared to the public was the the Cambridges first family photo.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the garden at Sandringham House," wrote the Kensington Palace.

A picture of Duchess Catherine with the little princess looking straight into the camera was also posted as well as a black and white shot of Prince William playing with Prince George in the garden.

The picture of the Royal Family minus Prince Harry, who was in Africa for an engagement during Princess Charlotte's special day, along with the Middletons in the drawing room of Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham home was also shown.

The Cambridges hoped the set Princess Charlotte's christening official photos would bring delight the public.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their whole family had a wonderful day on Sunday and were delighted to share the special occasion with the thousands of people who came to Sandringham," the Kensington Palace statement said as quoted by BBC.

"They are very happy to share these photographs and hope that everyone enjoys them as much as they do," it added.

All the pictures were also posted on The British Monarchy account on Facebook. Followers of both account couldn't help but gush over the pictures.

Testino, meanwhile, was grateful for the opportunity to take the photos.

"I am overwhelmed and honoured to be chosen to take these portraits on the occasion of Princess Charlotte's christening, to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much," he said over Instagram.

Kensington Palace sent their thanks to the photographer.

"Thank you @mariotestino for helping to capture such an important day for the Cambridge family!" the tweet read regarding the Princess Charlotte christening official photos.
