New reports suggest that the iPad Air 3 will include an Apple A9 processor as part of its release date specs. 

The A9 processor is developed by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Samsung, which both partner with Apple. It has also been used for current models of the iPhone 6. 

Apple is planning to release the highly-anticipated iPad Air 3 alongside the iPad Mini 4 this fall, Boosh reports. 

Other reports claim a rumored October release date for the iPad Air 3 may coincide with a price drop for Apple's current flagship tablet, the iPad Air 2. 

As it has been suggested, however, the iPad Air 3 will not have a 2015 release date. This is attributed to the fact that Foxconn has not received orders for the phone's manufacturing from Apple. 

Although an official launch date is yet to be announced, release date specs for the iPad Air 3 have been leaked---the new tablet is alleged to include a 6.1 mm thin body and a 9.7 inch display. 

It is also said to include 2GB of RAM.

For now, avid tablet users remain fixed on accessories, such as cases, for the iPad Air 2. 

"...the real opportunity is to bring mobility into the enterprises and change how people work," Apple CEO Tim Cook said during a recent earnings call, Business Insider reports.
