'Capcom Cup 2015' Scheduled For December This Year, Get Your Tickets While Still Can

Capcom Cup 2015 is taking place later this year.

Video game tournaments aren’t completely unheard of. Just like tennis tournaments, dance competitions and the like, it is an event for healthy competition and to see who is the best at it. It just so happened that not everybody knows about the video game tournaments aside from video game players themselves.

The Capcom Cup 2015 is the culmination of the Capcom Pro Tour tournament series, according to Destructoid. The tournament will feature players from all over the world and will take place in the Playstation Experience event hosted by Sony.

This competition isn’t easy to get into as it has taken months of event battles all over the globe for qualification spots. And while the competition for the big event may be cutthroat, out of a thousand of hopefuls, only 32 players will be given the chance to compete for the title of the Street Fighter World Champion, as reported by Capcom Pro Tour.

Plus, the prize money doesn’t seem too shabby at $250,000.

The event is open to anyone who wants to witness the action taking place live and interested goers can purchase tickets. The full weekend pass is $75 and the tournament day ticket is $40.

There is even a Capcom Cup VIP Package for those who want the premium event experience. An additional $75 to whatever ticket was purchased will add a Capcom goodie bag, Premium front area seating at the event, and exclusive access to the after party by Twitch and Showdown.gg.

The Capcom Cup 2015 will be a one-day special event on Dec. 6, 2015.
