‘Hob’ Introduces New Game; Features Robot Character On An Adventure In A Strange Planet

Runic Games introduces their newest game called "Hob," and will be bringing it to the 2015 PAX Prime, a report on Destructoid states.

Runic Games is the known for creating the "Torchlight" game series, but instead of developing yet another game in the series, the studio decided to go on a different path altogether. This time, the "Torchlight" developers has introduced a new game which they titled "Hobs."

According to EuroGamer, "Hob" introduces a new character that appears to be robotic in nature and would embark in an adventure in a strange realm.

The official website for "Hob" describes a door opening to a world with "dappled forest light" which "beckons you from your chamber, entering an unknown world both beautiful and dangerous," which strangely, has a "mysterious machinery" underneath it.

Players will be immersed in a strange planet and would discover for themselves that the world is in danger, and in order to save it, they must try to solve these problems by solving puzzles and battling strange beings in the process of their adventure, Cinemablend wrote.

However, the game will not only be revolving around puzzles, but players are given access to gain abilities or powers through combat as the game progresses.

"Players must learn to survive, understand their true purpose through acquiring skills, and ultimately transform the nature of the world itself," the announcement made by the studio reads via PC Gamer.

The description doesn't really say much about the game, but in addition, reports say that the players will discover what the real nature of the game as they "interact" more with the strange realm they are brought into.

On the other hand, Runic Games has yet to announce the release date for "Hob," but the studio stated that it will be bringing the game to the 2015 PAX Prime through a hands-on demo of the game.
