Jennifer Garner is purportedly rebounding back to an old flame amid her marriage fall out with Ben Affleck. The actress was reportedly dating Michael Vartan whom she dated before marrying Affleck.

In a report on the National Enquirer, the former "Alias" co-stars were reportedly getting close again as both have been having undergone strains in their respective marriages. 

"Jen's still in pieces over what Ben did to the family, how it's all fallen apart in such humiliating circumstances," a source of the gossip magazine said as cited by Celebitchy.

"Michael's been a total rock for Jen throughout this whole nightmare," another source said. "The both know exactly how the other feels."

While Garner and Affleck announced their divorce in June, Vartan, on the other hand, and wife Lauren Skaar, split in July last year as reported by People.

Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan dated in 2004 after she got divorced to first husband Scott Foley. The former "Alias" co-stars split up after a while. After dating Vartan, she then dated and got married to Ben Affleck as told by Celebrity Laundry.

Back when Garner was still married to Scott Foley, it was cited that Vartan was the cause of their breakup. The "Scandal" actor though was quick to dispel the rumors in 2004 after they divorced.

"Nobody else was involved," Scott Foley explained to TV Guide as quoted by Entertainment Tonight. "Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got."

"There was no other relationship, there was no infidelity, nothing," Foley continued. "People get divorced, you know? Through no one's fault and everyone's fault." 

Scott Foley is now married to Marissa Dominczyk. They have three kids together as cited in a report on Mail Online. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck also share three kids together. Michael Vartan did not have any kids with his ex-wife.
