Surface Pro 4 Specs Include 13 to 14-Inch Screen: Release Date Rumors

New information suggests that the highly-anticipated Surface Pro 4 will include a 13 to 14-inch screen.

"Microsoft reportedly is planning to develop two next-generation Surface 2-in-1 devices, one coming with a 12-inch display and the other a 13- to 14-inch screen," DigiTimes reports, mentioning the Surface Pro 3's successor tablet.

The leaked information also mentions that Microsoft's new device is constructed with "high-end hardware."

Now that Microsoft has launched its new Windows 10 operating system, the spotlight has turned to the expected release of the company's Surface Pro 4 tablet, which is said to rival Apple's flagship iPad series.

Microsoft's new tablet is rumored to have an October release date, given that the company will have plenty of time to finalize orders for Samsung 256GB SSD drives and collecting accessories. The Surface Pro 4's specs are also rumored to include a Skylake processor, which is designed by Intel with a micro-architecture design.

New reports are also suggesting that Microsoft delayed the release date of the Surface Pro 4 due to changes in the device's specs.

Many speculated that the new tablet would be released alongside Windows 10, which was launched earlier this week. These rumors, however, did not come to fruition as Microsoft has remained silent on the status of the device.

Others are saying that the Surface Pro 4 will have a release date that coincides with the launch of Apple's MacBook Pro in 2016.

This is based on both company's longstanding rivalry that has witnessed near-simultaneous releases of devices in order to balance out competition.
