San E Says No To 'Show Me The Money 5'
Having just finished the fourth season of rap survival program Show Me The Money, San E says he will pass on the chance to return as judge if there will be a fifth season, reports Allkpop.
"I won't go on the show even if my mother begs me to," said San E during a TV interview, before shedding light on why he has such a low interest in reprising his judge role.
"I think it's better to watch more interesting people come out to paint a new picture. I've taken away a lot of things from doing 'SMTM 4.' It gave me a chance to reflect on myself. I wanted to protect the things I have but I couldn't bring them down. But I'm thankful that [SMTM 4] gave me the chance to do so. That way I could improve myself. The show gave me a chance to reinvent my way of thinking," he adds.
San E joined as a judge in Show Me The Money 4 together with fellow Brand New Music label artist Verbal Jint, and three other pairs of rapper-judges from YG (Table and Jinusean), AOM (Jay Park and Loco) and Team ZiPal (Block B's Zico and Paloalto).
San E's decision to forego his judging spot comes after a season where he has garnered criticism from viewers, especially in the elimination controversy wherein they had been accused of showing blatant favoritism by requesting the return of rapper Black Nut.
