CNBLUE To Build Its Second School In Africa, 'Funded By Coming World Tour Donations'

CNBLUE announced that the group would use the proceeds from its coming world tour to fund a second school in Africa.

In March 2012, CNBLUE built the 'CNBLUE School' in Burkina Faso, which is considered one of the poorest countries in Africa. The school was named after the K-Pop group. But, CNBLUE didn't just start the school; the members have been donating parts of their profits from album and concert ticket sales to help manage and supply the school.

Over 100 children currently attend the first CNBLUE School. In addition to providing kindergarten classes and after school programs, the school provides nutritious meals for students. The band plans to build a second school, and continue expanding their charity project.

A representative from CNBLUE's agency, FNC Entertainment, spoke to ENews on April 4. The rep said, "CNBLUE will be hosting a world tour to go through Asia, Oceania, the Americas and Europe, starting in Taiwan on April 6. With the new donations, it plans to build its second school."

CNBLUE's announcement of their new tour and how it would spend the profits comes after they announced their fifth major single in Japan titled, "Blind Love." Guitarist and vocalist Lee Jong Hyun wrote the single, which is likely to be a success for the pop-rock group. "Blind Love" will go on sale on April 24.
