M.I.B Latest K-Pop Idols To Have A Live USTREAM Event With Fans
There is no denying that the internet is largely to credit for the international fame and recognition of K-Pop around the world. The latest trend in promotions and fan outreach has been live interview events on sites like USTREAM, Google + and YouTube Live where the artists field questions from the fans themselves.
Last month Google hosted A-Pop Star Week where some of our favorite idols met with fans on a live stream to answer questions. The event was incredibly successful with SHINee, Super Junior, and 2PM having the chance to come face to face with followers around the globe. Earlier this month Jay Park also had a fan meeting via USTREAM where he discussed his music career and his b-boy project, Art in Motion.
Thousands of people all across the globe tuned in for these personal encounters with their favorite stars and the success of such events is leading to more plans for similar internet streams.
The latest group to follow this trend is hip-hop quartet M.I.B (Most Incredible Busters) who answered questions live on USTREAM with Korean-pop blog Allkpop.com.
The guys talked about everything from their relationship with legendary Korean hip-hop artist Tiger JK, who has produced many of their tracks, to their favorite girl groups and ideal types. They also sang live for the viewers and shared a few embarrassing stories about the other M.I.B members (apparently 5zic and SIMS's snoring keeps poor KangNam up at night).
It is through these sort of internet streaming interviews that the artists have a chance to give back to their fans and create a close relationship between their music and the listeners. It also allows fans the opportunity to find out the answers to some of their burning questions.
