Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Casting News, Spoilers: TMNT Half Shell Finishes Shooting; Sci-Fi Theme Continues As TV And Merchandise Catch Up; Will General Krang Return Via CGi

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 News, Spoilers: Filming is done on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell and reports say the film will include new characters who are popular in the comics. Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio is reportedly going to be included in the lineup for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

According to reports TMNT2 will explore the origins of the ninja turtles and Half Shell will take a look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's universe.

But the big news is that Half Shell will see the return of the alien villain General Krang. According to rumors, General Krang may be rendered in CGI. General Krang was a commanding warlord in Dimension X in the comics. Krang was exiled to Earth and hooked up with the Shredder.

Not many details about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half Shell have been released, but Master Herald reported that William Fichtner, who portrays the villain Dr. Eric Sacks, said the sequel will explore the origins of the turtles.

The new incarnation of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was met with some skepticism and fans say the TV show doesn't live up to the original series, but the rebooted series has been successful. A recent episode continued the science fiction theme and the writers are reportedly going to go further with this.

Fans noticed a reference to Star Trek and other popular science fiction.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will see the characters Bebop and Rocksteady

Nickelodeon thinks this makes the turtles ripe for merchandising and that adding Bebop and Rocksteady will waves in the toy space next year.

"The first movie was a huge success and the next installment will bring us Casey Jones along with fan favorites Bebop and Rocksteady," Marianne James, vice president, consumer products UK and Ireland and European retail sales and marketing at Nickelodeon Viacom Consumer Products, said in a statement.

"It's going to be massive with a toy and action figure range to complement the release. We are very excited at developing the movie franchise with all new product and retail activations."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic writers Tom Waltz, Kevin Eastman, and Bobby Curnow promise to deliver something different and brought on new artist Ken Garing of "Planetoid" for the next few issues.

The Foot Clan is gone after Karai failed to restore honor to the ancient clan. The Shredder is fighting against Splinter and his sons, the Ninja Turtles. Karai turns authority of the clan over to Splinter, who is the reincarnation of the ancient Foot ninja Hamato Yoshi.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 lands in UK cinemas in June 2016.
