Jake Gyllenhaal was reportedly trying to get in between the Taylor Swift Calvin Harris romance according to the latest rumors.

In an item on Life & Style, it was mentioned that the "Style" singer was purportedly secretly talking to the "Southpaw" actor for the past months.

"He said he owed Taylor an apology for how things ended between them," an insider told Star Magazine as cited by the source above.

"In June, Jake [Gyllenhaal] ran into [her pal] Cara Delevingne at 'The Graham Norton Show' and asked for Taylor's new number," the source added. "They've kept in touch, albeit secretly, ever since."

Hollywood Life's source dispelled the rumor though and even claimed Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris continue to go strong despite the nonstop rumors that's been hurled towards their relationship.

"That is complete nonsense of her being in contact with Jake," the source pointed out. "She is devoted to Calvin and her career which are both going strong.

"She is not seeking anything from past boyfriends at all," the sourced added. "She doesn't talk to Jake [Gyllenhaal]."

A source of the website even added that the pop-country star and DJ plan to make the most of their time together as soon as the "1989 Tour" wrapped up by next month.

"People want them to break up but Calvin and Taylor are looking forward to the holidays and all that comes with that," the insider exclaimed.

Even the "Style" singer herself has taken to social media recently to prove that all was well with her and the DJ.

As reported by E! Online, the "Style" singer posted on Instagram a picture of one of her cats. She even credited the photo to her DJ boyfriend.

"Olivia Benson chewing on Olivia Benson's moon man because she is disrespectful," Taylor Swift captioned on the picture taken by Calvin Harris. "So glad @therealmariskahargitay took it home and away from this monster."
