aespa is giving fans an exciting preview of its upcoming album LEMONADE with the release of a new dance practice video for the track "WDA (Whole Different Animal)."
The video, released on May 13, highlights the group's sharp choreography, strong stage presence, and detailed formations ahead of the album's official launch later this month. The performance video gives a clear, full-body look at all four members as they move through the song's fast-paced choreography alongside backup dancers, Soompi reported.
Known for blending futuristic concepts with powerful performances, aespa once again leaned into bold movements and synchronized routines that matched the song's intense energy.
"WDA (Whole Different Animal)" also features G-Dragon of BIGBANG, adding even more attention to the release. His rap verse appears during the song's third section and brings a hip-hop edge to the bass-heavy dance track.
The song mixes English and Korean lyrics while building around a strong electronic beat. Throughout the track, repeated lines like "She a whole different animal" help create the confident and energetic mood that carries through both the music and choreography.

Along with the practice video, aespa previously released an official music video for the song.
The visual explores themes of identity and digital reality, showing multiple versions of the members appearing and multiplying in a strange futuristic world. As the video progresses, the group fights through the confusion and reclaims control of their identities.
According to Billboard, the release marks the beginning of a new chapter for aespa as the group prepares for its second full studio album, LEMONADE, which is scheduled to arrive on May 29.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the project since the success of the group's 2024 EP "Whiplash," which reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The group has continued building momentum internationally after being named Group of the Year at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music Awards. Their growing popularity has helped expand their fanbase far beyond South Korea.
Following the album release, aespa is also preparing to launch its fourth world tour, "SYNK: COMPLæXITY." The tour will begin in Seoul on August 7 before moving across Asia, North America, and Europe later in the year.
