MAMA 2015: Big Bang, iKON, Park Jin Young Confirm Appearances At International K-Pop Event

Big Bang and iKON will perform at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), following speculation that the YG Entertainment acts would be absent from the leading K-pop event.

On November 18, CJ E&M confirmed the attendance of Big Bang at MAMA, along with iKON and JYP Entertainment's Park Jin Young (J.Y. Park).

Anticipation continues to rise for MAMA 2015, with Big Bang leading the fan vote of every category they are nominated in with audiences showing overwhelming support for "MADE." 

The popular quintet currently leads the Male Group category with 34.6 percent and the Best Dance Performance Male Group division with 34 percent.

Big Bang also maintains a substantial lead, with fans, in the crucial categories of Best Music Video, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Rookie group iKON made a strong impact with their debut release, "My Type." The seven-member group, which currently leads the Best New Male Artist category, recently released "Apology" and "Anthem." 

Park Jin Young delivered the hot comeback track, "Who's Your Mama?" and continues to bask in the success of the latest JYP groups including Twice, who currently leads the Best New Female Artist category with 29 percent. 

CJ E&M announced additional programming for MAMA 2015, prior to the lineup release on November 18.

For the first time ever, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a unique experience called 2015 MAMA Nominees Day & Night, which will be held from November 28 through December 1, at the Plaza Hollywood in central Hong Kong.

The four-day event will include artist meet-and-greets, cover dance contests, and exhibitions. 

On December 1, fans can dance and rock out to remixes of 2015 MAMA nominee songs at Lan Kwai Fong, one of the hottest districts for nightlife. 

Tickets for 2015 MAMA are priced from approximately $114 USD to $269 USD and can be purchased through Hong Kong Ticketing

The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo on December 2.
