MAMA 2015: CL And PSY Officially Join Lineup For The Biggest Night In K-Pop
CL and PSY have been added to the star-studded lineup of the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
On November 19, CJ E&M announced the addition of the top international artists through their official social media.
Both CL and PSY are on the brink of highly-anticipated comebacks. CL will simultaneously release the single, "Hello Bitches," to audiences in the United States and Korea. The single provides the first look at her American album, which is under the auspices of Scooter Braun, who previously worked with PSY.
"Hello Bitches" be available for free download on Soundcloud, with its premiere through VICE's Noisey and YG Life.
PSY will release his first album in over three years, following "Psy 6," which yielded the global sensation, "Gangnam Style."
In 2012, PSY regaled MAMA attendees with his thrilling "Gangnam Style" stage, which was preceded by his iconic performance in New York City's Rockefeller Center. At MAMA 2012, he swept the awards through the worldwide success of the track by receiving the Song of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Dance Performance, and Best International Artist.
His follow-up April 2013 single, "Gentlemen," featured acclaimed rapper, Snoop Dogg, and was well-received by international media.
PSY and CL join YG Entertainment artists Big Bang and iKON, for the high-powered Asian pop event. Big Bang continues to dominate the popular vote in 2015 MAMA, leading several key categories, while iKON leads the coveted Best New Male Artist category.
Tickets for the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards and MAMA Red Carpet are currently on-sale through Hong Kong Ticketing. International K-pop fans should note that Hong Kong Ticketing accepts worldwide orders, with will-call pickup at the box office.
The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo on December 2.
