T-ARA N4 to Release New MV Teaser At Mnet 'M! Countdown' Taiwan Special

The feisty ladies of T-ARA are making a lot of headlines lately as they prepare for their comeback with the sub-unit T-ARA N4.

The latest T-ARA news surrounds their music video for the upcoming single "Countryside Life."

The group's label, Core Contents Media, announced that a drama-style music video teaser will be shown in front of fans at the M! Countdown special in Taiwan. According to Core Contents, the video teaser serves as a replacement for an actual live performance which would not have fit into the promotion schedule of the new sub-group.

Their statement read, "M! Countdown strongly requested T-ARA N4'd 'Countryside Life' stage in Taiwan, but we couldn't do it because it did not match with our music release schedule. Instead, we decided to release the teaser for the drama version of the music video through the program."

After a series of scandals involving the T-ARA members raised eyebrows and ruffled some tail feathers, the ladies and their management have focused on promotions outside of Korea.

Last month, when the N4 sub-unit was first announced, Core Contents said that they planned to rival the fame and notoriety of Psy's "Gangnam Style" and will introduce a new dance that will parallel the 'YMCA.'

Many people have their doubts (can anyone ever reach Psy's level of fame or reinvent the YMCA?), but the group seems to be on the right track. They enlisted the help of the director behind Psy's internationally popular "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" videos, Jo Soo Hyun, to make the music video which shows the girls moving to big-city Seoul from the quiet countryside. The music video will also include a surprise celebrity cameo.

Here is the teaser video for "Countryside Life" previously released by Core Contents Media:
