Girls' Generation's Seohyun (Seo Ju Hyun) has been chosen out of a reported 350 applicants to star in the Korean version of the musical "Mamma Mia!"

Seohyun has been chosen for the role of Sophia for the musical. However, even though she is a member of Girls' Generation, one of the most poular girl groups, she still had to go through regular auditions. 

This is not Seohyun's first time performing in a musical. She also starred in the Korean stage adaptations of "Gone With The Wind" and "The Moon That Embraces The Sun." 

The musical will run from Feb. 24 to June 4th, 2016 at Charlotte Theater in Seoul. "Mamma Mia!" proved to be a hit during the musical's original run in 2013, and the production team during that time will also be in charge for the 2016 run of the musical.
