Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode begins with Sakurako, Tatewaki, and Isozaki on a bone hunting adventure in the forest. The group spots a Lethe Diana butterfly, and Sakurako chases after it. She knows it will lead to a corpse.

The corpse is merely a dead rabbit this time, which leaves Sakurako a bit unsatisfied. Isozaki receives a phone call regarding a former student. The student named Futaba had randomly disappeared a few years ago, leaving behind something like a suicide note. The case has long been cold.

The three head back to town in Sakurako's car. It appears that the student's sister has also disappeared now. They go to Hitoe and her sister's home and begin to investigate what may have caused Hitoe to leave. The discussion leads to the discovery that Hitoe had recently stopped going to class and taken a part time job.

Sakurako is fed up with the talking and wants to see Hitoe's room for answers. She has figured out that the family is one that cares more about appearance than anything else. After investigating, Sakurako figures that she's talking to someone despite rejecting her parents phone calls.

At a café, Tatewaki calls Kogami for potential information about Hitoe. They decide to go to a girls' house named Minami. They ask her mother where her daughter is and she's not home. Sakurako goes to search her room and the mother reveals that they had a falling out over a guy.

Later, Minami comes home and they question her about the guy, who may be the painter that is responsible for the paintings in both of the girls' rooms. Minami suddenly lashes out at them about how Hitoe always wanted everything she had. Sakurako notices she seems anemic and invites her to stay over for food and good sleep.

Tatewaki rejoices on the ride home, knowing that he was also personally invited by Sakurako for breakfast the next day.
