SISTAR's Kim Dasom is ready to show fans another side of her talent.

The idol singer will star in her first film, Like a French Movie, that is set to be released next month.

"Dasom will lead in two of director Shin Yeon Shik's omnibus film," the singer's agency Starship Entertainment announced back in July. "In one part, she'll be playing Ryu Deok Hwan's lover, who is a cute woman working at a bar. In the second, she'll be costarring alongside actor Jeong Man Shik."

Like a French Movie is scheduled to premiere in South Korea on January 14, 2016.

Along with her recent acting ambitions, Dasom and the other members of SISTAR recently got together with some of their Starship Entertainment label mates and released a cozy winter single titled "Softly." The song was released on Tuesday, Dec. 1 and describes sharing love during the first snowfall.
