Synopsis/Recap:

The first episode of the "One Punch Man" OVA begins with Saitama chasing a lizard monster, back in the early days when he still had hair and was just starting out. Saitama laments that he has once again punched a monster out in one shot.

Saitama heads to a local shop where an old man was just being harassed by a young punk. Saitama asks the old man to fix his fighting suit that has once again been ripped. The old man whips out a sketch book, having drawn an outfit to fix Saitama's ripping problem.

Saitama however hates the sketch - it's too traditional. Seeing that the old man is going to get offended if he refuses, Saitama makes the excuse that he wears his same track suit because it's a reminder of where he came from. As he's leaving, the old man warns him to stop being a hero temporarily. There's been a lot of crime lately.

Saitama heads home, and his land lord threatens to evict him. The next day Saitama goes back to get his repaired suit and finally witnesses that the Niya Niya gang has been harassing the old man for money. The old man fills Saitama in about the gang's hideout.

Saitama goes knocking on doors in the apartment complex, the same one he lives in ironically. Saitama manages to find some counterfeiters and beats them up. He then drags them to their leader GyuGyuGyu, who is the same one harassing the old man that fixes his clothing.

Saitama tells him to give back the papers to the store. Gyu transforms into a fish of darkness, prepared to fight. After a few attacks, Saitama gives a serious look. Later, Saitama brings all the bad guys to his landlord's apartment door. But it's not satisfying because she was the bad guy herself, ordering them to do bad things.

Saitama is kicked out and goes to live with the old man that makes the clothes. He makes a hero suit for Saitama, the iconic one he still wears to this day.

Elsewhere in the future, Saitama recounts this story to Genos, who tells him he should get a new suit.
