Song Mino Pens WINNER Comeback Entry Single 'Pricked'

Details of WINNER's highly anticipated comeback are steadily being revealed ahead of their return on January 11.

To start off the epic looking WINNER 2016 Project "Exit Movement," YG Entertainment announced the groups' entry single. On January 7 it was revealed that the first song "Pricked" will actually be a duet with rapper Song Mino and vocalist Nam Taehyun.

It was also revealed that Mino write the lyrics to the new track and helped compose alongside Uk Jin Kang. The two were given solo tracks on WINNER's debut album 2014 S/S. Taehyun showcased his sweet, high vocal range while Mino demonstrated his continuing aptitude as a rapper. As Korea Herald described, "the two have distinct, contrasting voices, they are expected to create a unique harmony."

During his time on Mnet's rap competition program Show Me the Money 4, Mino penned and performed some of the most chart successful songs of the season including "Okey Dokey" and "Fear." The rapper also boasts lyric and composition credits for a number of tracks on 2014 S/S as does Taehyun.

WINNER piqued interest with their dark and action packed "Exit Movement" teaser released earlier this week. "Pricked" continues with the dark trend, portraying only a styled heard wrapped in thorns, leaving fans wondering what sort of song Mino and Taehyun will show off.

"Pricked" will be released on January 11 at midnight KST.
