Big Bang Theory Celebrates 200 Episodes With Original Batman Adam West; Sara Gilbert Will Reprise Role As Leonard's Former Girlfriend Leslie Winkle

Batman is set to make a cameo in the sitcom Big Bang Theory. Adam West will make an appearance during Big Bang Theory's anticipated 200th episode. West is most famous from his role as superhero Batman during the 1960s television series.

There's no word on how West will be incorporated into the episode. CBS and the show's creators are keeping it under wraps. West and his Bruce Wayne character has been the subject of many discussions on the show.

Adam West will play himself in the momentous 200th episode of "The Big Bang Theory." West is joining a roster of the show's special guest stars, including George Takei and Leonard Nimoy from the original "Star Trek" TV series, Bob Newhart, Stan Lee, Katee Sackhoff, Stephen Hawking and Summer Glau.

The 200th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" will also include guest appearances from Wil Wheaton as himself, John Ross Bowie as Barry Kripke, and Christine Baranski as Leonard's ice-cold mother.

Sara Gilbert will also reprise her role as Leonard's former girlfriend Leslie Winkle, for the first time since the finale of season 3.

The 87-year-old actor is best known for playing the superhero Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne in the campy 1960s television series as well as the original 1966 film, West's career began in films in 1959, playing opposite Chuck Connors in Geronimo (1962) and Joe DeRita in The Outlaws Is Coming (1965). He has also appeared in the science fiction Robinson Crusoe on Mars (1964). He has done voice work on animated series such as The Fairly OddParents and Family Guy, in both of which he voices fictional versions of himself.

It is likely that episode 200 will debut at the end of February or beginning of March.

The Big Bang Theory is currently in its ninth season. The show first aired in 2007.

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
