'Half Life 3' Release Date Rumors:  Rumors about the Half Life series of games getting a new update are running rampant. Valve launched an update to the list of upcoming games on Steam including an addition of Half Life 3. The leak created a big buzz on the internet forcing Valve to remove Half Life 3 from the listing.

Half Life 3's appearance on Steam is not something new. Speculations also surfaced that HL3 will be a VR game.

There is no official news regarding the future of the "Half-Life 3", but the rumors are still running strong. Marc Laidlaw has left Valve, and this made many fans to worry about the "Half-Life" franchise.

The previously planned "Half-Life 2: Episode Three" has been canceled by Valve. Players will get to experience a sequel to the series. "Half-Life 3" will reportedly be the official title of the game.

Valve is still pending to release any information regarding Half Life 3's production.

This year actually marks the 12th year since "Half-Life 2" was released in the gaming consoles and the PC.

"Half-Life 2" was released 12 years ago, Valve released "Half-Life 2: Episode Two" nine years ago. "Half-Life 2: Episode Three" but it never materialized. Game developer Valve Corporation has been quiet "Half-Life 3."

Valve approved the launch of a fan-made game inspired by "Half-Life 3" made by 25-year-old indie developer Richard Seabrook

The game, titled "Prospekt," went live on Steam on Feb. 11. The new Half-life fan-made game was made using graphics and assets from the Half-life 2 game.

The stand-alone game is said to feature 13 levels. It uses the graphics and assets from "Half-Life 2" and is about as long.

"Half Life 3" is expected to bring a much-improved game to all avid gamers.
