Day6 Member Junhyeok Leaves Group Following Dating Controversy

On Saturday, DAY6 fans woke up to sad news.

That morning, DAY6's agency JYP Entertainment announced that member Junhyeok had his contract terminated. The statement aid that Junhyeok's contract was terminated due to "personal reasons."

JYP Entertainment asked that fans support both Junhyeok and his former band as DAY6 works on a new album with the remaining five members.

The agency did not offer details regarding the personal reasons behind Junhyeok's departure from the group.  Following the news fan-circulated rumors surrounding Junhyeok's alleged romantic relationship with a fan was given as the reason behind his departure from DAY6, reports The One Shots.

DAY6 debuted last September with their debut EP, "The Day." Junhyeok was the keyboardist in the idol-band, JYP Entertainment's first ever group of the sort.

The remaining five members are scheduled to tour the United States and Canada later this year. DAY6 will hold three fan meetings in the United States in April before heading to Toronto in May for Toronto Kpop Con alongside GOT7 and VIXX.
