The 20th National Assembly Election is just right around the corner in Korea and it looks like the National Election Commission chose the right person to encourage people to vote.

On Thursday, Mar. 3, AOA's Seolhyun was appointed by the commission as the honorary ambassador for the upcoming general election in April.

According to the Korea Herald, the AOA member attended a ceremony where she was given the official letter of appointment stating her new title as the ambassador.

"Singer-actress Seolhyun is garnering much love from the public, and is highly anticipated to help establish a healthy election culture in our society,” said commission secretary-general Kim Yong Hee.

As the honorary ambassador, Seolhyun will fulfill the duties as being the image of the election doing commercials and advertisements.

"I will try my best as a representative to encourage people to vote and promote such a healthy culture," Seolhyun said.
