CL, leader of girl group 2NE1, is drawing attention due to recent news that her official U.S. debut will happen extremely soon.

Korean media outlet Star News reported on March 16 that an insider close to CL informed them, "CL is currently in America and is hard at work with Scooter Braun and his team on-site to prepare for her official solo debut."

"She is getting closer and closer to her debut in the U.S.," the insider added, sharing more news about the 2NE1 leader's long-awaited US debut. "She will be debuting in the U.S. very, very soon."

In addition, the music video for CL's title song has already been completed, according to Star News.

Although CL has been working with U.S. producer Scooter Braun for over a year, it appears that her debut is closer than ever.

CL previously released a promotional solo single and music video for "Hello Bitches" in Nov. 2015, her first foray into the solo scene. The song was even able to reach the #1 spot on global streaming site Spotify.
