‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ Updates: ‘Divisive Ending’ To Cause A Stir, Creative Director Confirms

"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," the last of the game series, will be officially launched on May 10 and developers said that it is definitely be one of the best they have ever made.

Creator of some of gaming history's best opening sequences and game developer Naughty Dog, himself, said that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has one of the strongest opening sequence, that it may top one of their best opening sequences, too, that is for "The Last of Us."

"In my personal opinion, this is our strongest beginning, opening sequence for games since 'The Last of Us,' which was obviously very emotional," Naughty Dog's communication director Arne Meyer said (via Parent Herald). "But I think this is probably one of the best opening sequences as well. That feeling of wanting to keep playing and wanting to know where it goes continues the entire game."

While it is expected that Naughty Dog will put its best foot forward for "Uncharted 4" since it's already the final installment for the long time running video game, even Naughty Dog's rival game developers gave high praises to "Uncharted 4," one of whom is Quantum Break's developer, Sam Lake.

"Neil [Druckmann], thank you for raising the bar and for inspiration," Sam Lake told Neil Druckmann on a note. Druckmann is the creative director of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."

Aside from its strong opening sequence and its moving and powerful narrative, Naughty Dog also boasts of the game's "divisive ending."

In an interview with IGN, creative director Neil Druckmann said that the ending of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will definitely have gamers talking about it, and most probably also argue over it.

"I think people will discuss the ending," he said. "It focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending."
