Gwen Stefani is reportedly working on a new album and the No Doubt front woman revealed how the songs included in her record may be tracks that will be filled with themes of break up.
Stefani revealed the theme of her upcoming release in a San Diego's 93.3 radio interview, which was ultimately reported by US Magazine.
"I would consider it a breakup record," Gwen Stefani said of her new album. "My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write songs and help people."
Meanwhile, a Music Mic report also revealed how Stefani is feeling about the record. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the former "The Voice" judge expressed how excited she is for the release of the new album.
"I've been working on it," Gwen said. "I feel excited now because when I first started working on it, I was like, 'I'm gonna put it out this year!' I was very kind of rushed about it. Now I feel settled in, I had the baby - he's going to be a year-old, can you believe that?! - I feel like now I'm going to go back in and do some more writing and be a little more relaxed about it."
However, things couldn't really go her way, as she is faced with numerous projects and appearances, which includes appearances on television, which has been giving Gwen Stefani delays for her new album release.
"I decided to slow down a little bit, and now I've got this [live] show I've been working on, which is forcing me to go back and listen to my old songs that I've never listened to in so long," Gwen said. "But it's been super inspiring, because now it's like I'm in competition with myself, like, "How did I do that? I wish I could do that again."
