'Legend of the Blue Sea' is scheduled to make its premier presentation on November 16, 2016 on SBS with Park Jin-young joining the cast.

Park Jin-young's entry to the South Korean television series 'Legend of the Blue Sea' is almost confirmed. If the talks made by South Korean Entertainment Company JYP Entertainment worked out then, GOT7's Park Jin-young will join the show as Lee Min Ho's teenage counterpart, according to IBTimes.

Though official statement is yet to be confirmed greater possibility was hinted when Park Jin-young was taken photo and was uploaded standing in a sea shore, wearing a white-colored shirt and a grey trouser but wrapped with a multi-colored blanket. This image was then assumed that he was filming in a sea shore and that it was the Legend of the Blue scene, which filming began on August. Furthermore, Instagram confirmed the news.

'Legend of the Blue Sea' is a story of a mermaid named Shim Chung played by Jun Ji-hyun, ("Sassy Girl" and "My Love From Another Star")  captured and released by a fisherman in the Joseon era. She will fall in love with a son of a magistrate named Dam-Lim in the Joseon period. She will decide to go to Seoul in the present time and she will meet the modern time Dam-Lim played by Lee Min Ho.

The reason why Park Jin-young was selected as the younger Lee Min Ho's character is probably the close resemblance of their looks and Park has potentially eyed as a big contributor for the drama rating schemes, as reported by iTechPost.

Two eras will be shown in the drama as the setting but most of the scene will be taken from the modern time.

 As far as the story is concerned Lee Min Ho said in an interview with the Drama Fever that he thinks that the series has an appropriate amount of fantasy. He also thinks that since the drama contains elements that are universally acknowledge, the project will give off a more familiar feel to the viewers.
