Gong Hyo-Jin has to speak both Mandarin and Korean fluently for the movie ‘Missing’

Acclaimed actress Gong Hyo-Jin plays as a nanny who takes away the baby she's supposed to take care of. In order to play the role, she must learn to speak Mandarin as the nanny is from China.

Gong is fluent in English and Mandarin. However she must be able to speak Mandarin and Korean simultaneously in the new movie “Missing,” according to report from Munhwa News.

“Although I speak Mandarin fluently, it is difficult for me to speak Mandarin and Korean for the movie. It is because each language has a different feel,” Gong said.

In the movie “Missing” the nanny is running away with the baby whom she must take care of. The mother of the baby is Ji-Sun, a divorcee, played by another acclaimed actress Uhm Ji-Won.

After Ji-Sun discover that her baby and the nanny are missing, she reported the matter to the police. Unfortunately, the police does not believe her story, therefore she began to search on her own.

Meanwhile, Han-Mae carries Ji-sun's baby everywhere and telling everyone she met that it's her own. The movie is released by Megabox Plus M, which has published the still image of Gong Hyo-Jin in her role as the nanny below:

Last week, Megabox Plus M invited the press for a media preview of “Missing,” as reported by Focus News. The movie director Lee Eon-Hee, along with Gong and Uhm, spoke in the event.

Lee said that she wanted to portray the difficulties of living with someone who people do not know anything about. Uhm said that she had a long discussion with Lee to perfectly portray a single mother who lives in the city and juggles between work and family.

“Missing” is scheduled to premiere in the last weekend of November, while its international release will be determined later. Watch the trailer for the international release below:
