BLACKPINK is featured in NYLON magazine America!

As reported by Kpopstarz, Blackpink (often stylized as BLΛƆKPIИK), recently got under the radar of American fashion magazine, NYLON. NYLON is a high end magazine focusing on fashion and pop culture. Blackpink appear in the December/January 2017 issue.

Aside from highlighting Blackpink’s street-fashion style, NYLON also dug out more about their music and future hopes. Coming from one of the top entertainment agencies in South Korea—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa told NYLON that they are glad to be compared to labelmate 2NE1. But of course, they are hoping to establish their own unique color with their music.

Blackpink is YG Entertainment’s newest girl group that debuted after seven years of 2NE1’s long-lasting fame. The members shared about their feelings prior and after debuting. Each of the girls had to spend four to six years being a trainee in YG Entertainment in order to secure a spot in the group.

To Rosé especially, who noted that it was quite emotional when she finally stood on Blackpink’s first stage. She explained further, “It took us quite a long time to actually debut. The process was long just like our overall training period. I really felt like this was the start, just right after our onstage debut!”

Blackpink debuted back in August 8, and during August to December, they have won in almost every major music shows. Even their debut single ‘Boombayah’ charted no. 1 on the U.S. Billboard World chart. The hype sure paid off and fans from all over the world are welcoming them.
