Update about Kim Soo-Hyun: New film and contract renewal with his agency
Kim Soo-Hyun latest public appearance is in 2015 KBS drama “Producer.” Afterward he rarely appear in the media this year until recently with the news about his new film which is scheduled to release in 2017. He also has signed a new contract with his agency.
Kim has just finished shooting the movie “Real” with acclaimed actor Sung Dong-il and Lee Sung-min. The thriller movie is scheduled to release in the first half of 2017, distributed by CJ Entertainment and Chinese company Alibaba Entertainment. In the movie, Kim is cast as someone who has specialty to fix problem in a shady business environment.
He is also reported to renew contract with his agency Key East. According to recent report from Seoul Daily News, CEO of KeyEast Lee Kyung-Hwan expressed his gratitude to Kim for trusting the agency. Kim who has been with KeyEast since 2010 decided to to extend their business relationship and signed new contract on Dec. 19.
"For the past seven years, Kim Seo-Hyun has become an actor with a huge fan base around the world and the icon of Hallyu,” Lee said. “We look forward to give moe positive impact to his career as his partner in the years to come.”
Kim began his career from a small role in several TV drama in 2007 to 2009. In 2010 he signed with KeyEast after starring in the SBS drama “Giant” as the younger version of the main character Lee Sung-Mo, portrayed by Park Sang-Min.
Subsequently he became the lead character of the KBS drama “Dream High” in 2011, followed by the drama “Moon Embracing the Sun” in the same year. According to Yonhap News Agency, these two dramas have made his popularity soar.
