The episode 19 of "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" proved to be exemplary as it showcased different emotions befitting to be the second to the last episode of the hit medical drama. Here are the highlights of this episode.

1. Seo Jung Talked to Dong Joo's Mother

The romantic side of this medical drama was revived when Seo Jung finally had an unexpected conversation with the mother of her boyfriend, Dong Joo. Han Cinema actually noted this scene as well. Moreover, Dong Joo's mother kept on calling his phone while he's on surgery so Seo Jung answered the phone thinking that it might be because of an emergency. Fortunately it's not an emergency and Dong Joo's mom just misses his son.

As a way to lighten up the mood, Seo Jung praised the delicious side dishes of Dong Joo's mother and the two grew closer in a span of seconds. When Seo Jung brought this up to Dong Joo, Dong Joo can't believe that Seo Jung can bear such conversation about side dishes.

2. The Hidden Truth

Since Teacher Kim doesn't want to share the entire story to Dong Joo because he thinks that Dong Joo might only think he's creating an excuse, Doctor Nam got the courage to do it on his stead to clear misunderstandings.

Doctor Nam revealed that Teacher Kim chose to be kicked out of Geosan Hospital despite his fame there because he wanted to protect the lives of the seven staff who worked under Jang Hyun Joo's failed surgery. Apart from this, Teacher Kim also protected the young boy who wreaked havoc in the emergency room that day who caused around 200 million won worth of damages. Apparently, that young boy was Kang Dong Joo.

3. The Moment of Truth

In the earlier part of episode 19, President Do released an official article on Geosan Hospital's website that the hospital just had a successful artificial heart surgery. This news caused a major outrage from Doldam Hospital since they are the ones who conducted the surgery. Even if President Do included the names of the surgical staff in the article, he left Doldam Hospital's name alongside Teacher Kim's name.

All of the surgical staff were invited to the victory party in Seoul except for Teacher Kim. Everyone turned the invitation down knowing that Teacher Kim won't be with them. However, Teacher Kim just received some important documents from Reporter Sung Jae which will be his weapon to destroy President Do, so to everyone's surprise, he suddenly wanted to come to the victory party. This scene was also highly noted by Dramabeans.
