The rookie actress Park Hye Soo has been casted as the young Lee Young Ae in the new SBS drama, "Saimdang, Light's Diary." Park Hye Soo is currently starring in the new show "Introverted Boss" and it looks like she'll be busier with this new role.

According to Soompi, SBS has revealed who will play the young characters of the lead roles for "Saimdang, Light's Diary". The role of the young Lee Young Ae will be played by the new rising rookie actress, Park Hye Soo, while the young Song Seung Heon will be played by Yang Se Jong.

The SBS drama "Saimdang, Light's Diary" has released some pictures of the two young actors during the filming. Han Sang Hyun, Song Seung Heon's character is going to be a university lecturer, in the modern day. Yang Se Jong will be playing that character most of the time. Se Jong will also be playing Song Seung Heon's Lee Gyeom character that is in the Joseon dynasty.

Yang Se Jong recently appeared in another SBS drama, "Romantic Doctor Kim," where he played Do In Bum, a doctor and the son of Do Yoon Wan (Choi Jin Ho). Meanwhile, Park Hye Soo appeared in "Yong Pal" as Joo Won's sister and in tvN's "Age Of Youth" as a college student where she won the 'Rising Star Award' in the drama category at the 2016 Asia Artist Awards. Park Hye Soo also appeared on "K-Pop Star 4" in 2014.

Drama Beans has reported that "Saimdang, Light's Diary" is going to tackle the story of a Korean art history lecturer who surprisingly discovers an ancient diary. It is the diary of Saimdang who is a renowned Joseon artist who is great in painting, poetry, and calligraphy.

Lee Young-ae will play dual roles as Seo Ji-yoon, the historian and as Saimdang herself. Song Seung-heon will play as her devoted lover. Are you excited for this new K-drama? Watch its trailer below.
