Although Rain and Kim Tae Hee are considered to be celebrities in South Korea, the couple has manage to stay low on the radar when it comes to their personal lives. In fact, their fans only knew about the upcoming wedding days before the real wedding was supposed to take place.

The major preparations for the wedding of Rain and Kim Tae Hee were carried out in secret, with the time and place of the wedding ceremony announced on such short notice. Apparently, this was one way of keeping the fans and the media from flocking to the wedding. The venue itself was well-guarded by security guards, assuring the solemnity and intimacy of the ceremony.

Rain and Kim Tae Hee first met in 2011 and officially became a couple in 2012. Their relationship is considered to be an exemplary relationship between celebrities because it is actually a feat for two famous and very bust individuals to stay committed and loving to one another.

According to Straits Time, Rain and Kim Tae Hee got married in a solemn church wedding ceremony. Being two of the biggest celebrities in Korea, it was partly a surprise to the fans when Rain and Kim Tae Hee opted for an intimate wedding ceremony, which took place in Gahoe-Dong Cathedral in Seoul. The wedding mass lasted for more than an hour, with Rain wearing a classic black suit and Kim Tae Hee wearing a cocktail length white gown.

Only family members and close friends of the couple were present during the ceremony. Park Jin Young, Rain's former boss and head of JYP Entertainment was present during the mass. Aside from Park Jin Young, actor Ahn Sung Ki, Psy and Park Joon Hyung were also present. Meanwhile, Kim Tae Hee's most special guest was her university classmate, Lee Honey.
