AOA's Back To Back Win On MBC's 'Show Champion,' Jimin Gets Emotional; Yuna Still Recovering From Knee Injury

AOA continues its winning streak as it remains the winner for "Show Champion" this week. This is AOA's second victory after taking the Champion's trophy once again for this week's performances.

According to All Kpop, AOA won with their impressive performance of the song, "Excuse Me." AOA wasn't really expecting to win for the second time and they were really surprised when they were called out as the winner for MBC's "Show Champion. The popular all-girl Kpop group has reportedly thanked their fans and supporters for the unceasing love and well-wishes.

AOA first wowed the crowd during their first performance of "Excuse Me" last Jan. 18. It was considered as a big win for AOA as they competed with fellow performers who also had a strong chance of winning. However, Soompi reports that AOA bested fellow performers like Akdong Musician, BIGBANG, Bolbbangan4 and MAMAMOO.

Other performers in MBC's "Show Champion" include SONAMOO, VARSITY, DreamCatcher, Cosmic Girls, MIXX, VIXX's Ravi, BP RANIA, Bonus Baby, VROMANCE, Hello Venus, APRIL, PENTAGON, CLC and NCT 127. With all the talented acts from different Kpop groups, it is totally understandable why AOA felt overwhelmed and surprised when they were announced as the winner for two straight weeks.

AOA's first win in MBC's "Show Champion" proved to be an overwhelming and emotional experience for the girls. According to Soompi, AOA member, Jimin, actually burst into tears when the winning trophy was handed to them. Jimin eventually composed herself and sincerely thanked everyone who supported and believed in them.

"It is shocking to us that we've won a second time back-to-back. We would like to thank everyone in the agency, family, friends, and fans who continue to support us," AOA shared. AOA was missing one member during their recent performance because their group member, Yuna, is still recovering from a knee injury. Nevertheless, AOA still expressed their gratitude to Yuna and wished her well.
