2NE1's Final Song 'GOODBYE' Tops Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart

2NE1 had just topped Billboard's World Digital Sales chart thus proving that even after disbanding, they are still at the top of their game. Queens to the end, clearly there is no denying the power and influence that 2NE1 has held ever since they first debuted back in 2007 and with the finality of their disbandment, it definitely looks like the group is going out with a loud bang.

Months after 2NE1 had disbanded it was announced that they would be releasing one final song as a way for them to say thank you and farewell to their fans and on January 21, they finally made true of that promise when they released their song titled "Goodbye." As expected, 2NE1 and "Goodbye" trended worldwide and in a span of a day, the music video had been viewed millions of times. And now, Billboard reports that 2NE1 had finally topped their World Digital Song Sales Chart.

According to Koreaboo, this would be the third time that 2NE1 has achieved such a feat in the said chart doing so back in October 2014 when their song "I am the Best" ranked at no. 1 and a second time in February 2015 when the same song once again ranked first on the list. There are only a few other artists that were able to achieve this feat including EXO and fellow label mates BIGBANG and Psy.

In the 7 years that 2NE1 was together, they had managed to become one of the world's most successful k-pop groups and are instrumental in the spread of k-pop throughout several parts of the world. With their empowering songs and unique fashion style, they had managed to captivate not only Korean fans but the rest of the world as well. Unfortunately, nothing is meant to last forever and after a drug importation scandal involving one of the members and an exit from another member, YG Entertainment had finally decided that it was time for 2NE1 to disband.
