Everyone assumes that all members of a Kpop group are pure, 100% Korean, and yes most of them are. But there are also other Kpop groups that have non-Korean members.
According to All Kpop, the Kpop groups with non-Korean members are: The Kpop group GOT7. Members Mark and Jackson are actually from China while BamBam, the youngest, was born in Thailand.
Jackson was born in Hong Kong and was a former national fencer for the country. Mark on the other hand, is the oldest of the group and grew up in Los Angeles, California.
Nichkhun of the Kpop group 2PM is Thai-American. For those who wonder if he speaks three languages, yes he actually does. He could speak Thai, English, and Korean in a split second.
Next we have Lay of the Kpop group EXO. Lay is Chinese and was born in the Hunan Province of China. According to Dramafever, he joined SM Entertainment in 2008 and debuted as an official member of EXO in 2012.
The Kpop group Miss A have Jia and Fei, and are actually Chinese. Jia grew up in Hunan Province, China, and debuted in the group Miss A in 2010. She later got her first role in the Chinese movie "The Third Kind of Love" which came out in 2015.
Fei on the other hand was born in Hainan Province, China. She and Jia both attended Seoul Institute of Arts.
The Kpop group f(x) has Amber who is Taiwanese-American. Amber was born in California in 1992 and was selected to be a trainee for SM Entertainment in 2008 when the agency held their global audition in Los Angeles, CA.
Finally we have Henry and Zhoumi of the Kpop group Super Junior M. Zhoumi was born in Wuhan Province, China while Henry, with his father from Hong Kong and Taiwanese mother, grew up in Toronto Canada.
Other bands that have non-Korean members include: The Kpop group BP RaNia with Alex (American); TimeZ with GuanXi, Kee, Tenni, and June (Chinese); CLC with Sorn (Thai) and Elkie (Chinese); Twice with Momo, Mina, Sana (Japanese), and Tzuyu (Taiwanese); SKarf with Hana (Japanese), Tasha, and Ferlyn (Singaporean); Seventeen with The8, Jun (Chinese), and Vernon (Korean-American); IOI with Jeon So Mi (Korean-Dutch-Canadadian); Cross Gene with Casper (Chinese) and Takuya (Japanese); and Cosmic Girls with Cheng Xiao, Xuan Yi, and Mei Qi (Chinese).
